Micro Academy is a community-based group calling on the advice and services of senior recruitment consultants specialising in IT and computing, university lecturers, students, psychologists, artists, film and multimedia designers, social workers, ex-police personnel and probation officers.

 

 



GARY DALAL BA (Hons) Freelance designer for film, TV and computer animation.
Attended the Junior Arts and Science Centre since the age of seven on 31/07/1971. After taking his degree he transcribed the HMP filmstrips on Colour into video; and made several new videos for Micro Academy including two on the Psychology of Advertising; one on Design and Colour and another on Fashion and Colour; others on Painting in Education, and Stained Glass. Some of these were marketed by Drake Educational Ltd, but at that time we had no marketing director. When John Lord joined, Gary Dalal was persuaded to re-program ProMICAD (or as it was known as then, ‘Genius’), rendering a new text into Visual Basic and creating a newly revised GENIUS or VIRTUAL GENIUS ready to be marketed by Lifetime Careers under the title of ProMICAD. Since then, the videos have been transferred to CDs.

NICHOLAS KARL FRANÇOIS STRATTON BROWNE BA (Hons)
From the age of 12 was educated at Claremont Fan Court, Surrey, and at the same time, attended MicroAcademy.co.uk. Was awarded his degree at Westminster University, showed computer work at the Royal Society of Arts in 1989 and exhibited at the Royal Society of British Architects in December 1993. He designed the website for ColorDome in 1998 and has devised and animated many psychological games. He runs a flourishing website service and has designed the website for ColorAcademy and redesigned ProMICAD. Like some other members of MicroAcademy he has the mind of a cerebral acrobat, and runs a property development folio.

BOGDAN TIGANOV BA (Hons)
Bogdan was educated as a junior in a school of Music in Braila. Rumania. From the age of ten he studied in English schools, including MicroAcademy, then Westminster University in the School of Graphics, taking his degree BA at Kingston University in 2004. He was a founding member of ColorAcademy and has taught in the UK and Barcelona. He has been published in numerous magazines. His several books have been published, beginning with 11 year old Refugee, Romanian for Sale, Tarnish, Fakery, and The Wooden Tongue Speaks.

BEN ADAMSON MLL
Over several years Ben has acted as Legal Advisor to Micro Academy, specialising in Intellectual Property Law. He also worked as web-site designer on the ColorAcademy website, revising and redesigning the original ColorDome contents and introducing a proliferation of new features and facilities.

CHRISTOPHER PAUL LORD BSc.
Systems engineer and problem solver, also with an academic and intuitive understanding of psychology. A spontaneous trouble-shooter, a quick thinker and a passionate advocate of ethical values, with a deep sympathy for people generally. Has a grand view of possible world markets for some of the future products of MicroAcademy, and is a worthy successor to his father’s directorship of MicroAcademy and ColorAcademy.

SHEENA CLARKE NDD
A freelance painter and designer who has exhibited at the Royal Academy for many years and had her work on educational tour in the UK and throughout the world. Is a brilliant artist and designer in numerous media and contributed valuably to the educational activities of ColorAcademy, including skilful illustrations for Pavey’s ‘Colour Symbolism’, ‘Colour and Buddhism’ and Colour and Humanism. She taught art and design for many years as Head of the Art Department at St Paul’s School, Colet Court, London, where she proved an inspiring fount of ingenuity and empathy.

DAVID LENARTOWICZ BA (Hons) DipHE Digital Aniamtion Specialist
A super-excellent computer graphics artist, and designer of ability and vision. A master photographer and advanced thinker in the application of a comprehensive knowledge of website media such as Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effect,etc. An innovator and technician of patience and ingenuity. Educated at Wroclaw College, Poland, Kensington and Chelsea College and Thames Valley University.

VANESSA DOHERTY
MicroAcademy Environmental Manager and Interior Designer. A sophisticated extravert, sensitive, good-natured and a perfectionist, altruistic with a great capacity for ‘green’ enterprise and expertise.

GIORGIA MONIQUE MARCHETTI, MA Design BA (Hons) Science of Communication.
Management and Branding Strategy, Director of Marketing for MicroAcademy. A creative and ambitious entrepreneurwith a lot of lateral thinking.
